After the exciting game there were many Chapter awards. The awards were:

After the academy we had a wonderful guest speaker, Flay Anthony, who told us about the early days of our Lodge. After that, we honored the Founder's Award recipients of 1999. They are: Ron Thompson and Jeff Whisenant Our Chief, Dustin Drennan, closed the night with comments on the future. Ceremonies Team Dear fellow Brothers in the OA, I am extending an invitation to join the up and coming Eswau Huppeday Ceremonies Team. We have had an excellent showing at Dixie Fellowship for two years running. I would like to keep this tradition of winning strong and steady for years to come and start a new tradition of NOAC victories. This is not going to be an easily accomplished task. I need brothers willing to do their best to learn lines of 3 different ceremonies, to act out their part of the ceremonies with depth and feeling, and most of all have a lot of fun doing it. If you are willing to step up to the challenge I have put forth then call or E-mail me at: (704) 872-2368 or blank733@hotmail.com. Yours in Brotherhood, David Blankenship Dance Team Dance Team is coming along very well. We are meeting weekly on Wednesdays and we are putting together outfits. --Robert White Training Brothers, --Matt Smith Allowelendam Chapter Allowelendam Chapter will meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month at First United Methodist Church in Gastonia. Occonoluftee Chapter Occonoluftee Chapter’s December meeting was highlighted by various Native American foods, which were prepared either by Brothers or, in one case, a grandmother of an Ordeal member. The main course was Venison Stew, followed by grandma’s two pumpkin pies and our Chapter Chief’s cornbread. We have not yet figured out which tribe invented sugar cookies, but they tasted very authentic. The Chapter Advisor’s Beef jerky was less salty than last year’s batch, but several Brothers, who are working on the Geology Merit Badge, accidentally identified the jerky as a sample of sedimentary basaltic coal. Lodge activities were emphasized and plans were made for a Bowling event at "Pin Station" in January. Since Chapter attendance goals were surpassed, a 1992 NOAC ELVIS flap was given out as a door Prize. Grandma has camped 15 days, so we may induct her.... and her pies. Beaver Days: (1) March 4th. This event is mainly for reconstruction of the OA campfire arena beside the archery range. As many people need to attend as possible so you can learn how to do it and then show your Chapter. Then on individual weekends your Chapter has the opportunity to go up on your own and do some work on it yourselves. (2) April 1 (Yes! The Lodge scheduled a Beaver Day on April Fools'.) NOAC - We plan to take a 56 passenger bus to NOAC 2000 in Tennessee. It is a very nice bus with AIR CONDITIONING. We plan to leave on July 28th.
